In the apartment where the Kirishima Family lived, durin' dinnertime.
Himeko was puffin' out her cheeks in a huff.
"Ugh, listen to this, Haru-chan! The Cultural Festival at my middle school is basically just the Brass Band Club performin', a Speech Contest, and Exhibitions for each class—there aren't any food stalls or cafes at all, y'know?! Crepes, takoyaki, shaved ice~!"
Saki offered her bestie a sheepish smile.
Apparently, Himeko was pretty salty about the lack of food. Ever since gettin' the briefin' about the Cultural Festival at school this morning, she'd been like this non-stop.
Even while complainin', Himeko kept scarfin' down the fried chicken for dinner, puffin' her cheeks out even further. "Grated daikon with ponzu is nice and refreshin', but it's not even hot out anymore, so sweet and sour glaze would've been way better!"
However, both Hayato and Haruki were well used to Himeko's antics, half-ignorin' her while shootin' her deadpan looks as they replied.
"Himeko, even if food stalls were allowed, you'd actually have to make the food, not just eat it. And even if you made takoyaki or yakisoba, you wouldn't be allowed to taste-test them."
"Yup, yup. And naturally, even if you made parfait or crepes, you couldn't sneak any whipped cream or fruit snacks either."
"Ugh...!"

Burstin' out laughin' at their perfectly synced roast, Himeko turned red with teary eyes, shouting, "Even you, Saki-chan?!" So Saki soothed Himeko with a "Hime-chan, I'm sorry, I'm sorry~" while sharin' one of her fried chicken pieces, makin' Himeko's face light up instantly. As always, Himeko was an absolute pushover. To the point where you'd worry about her future.
Then Saki gave an awkward laugh as she turned back to both Hayato and Haruki, who were lettin' out exasperated sighs.
"Speakin' of which, people in my class were sayin' that the Cultural Festival at your high school is pretty massive, Big Bro."
"Seems like it. Since it's open to the public, a ton of visitors come, and events like the Beauty Pageant and Stage Performances that non-students can enter get super hype, apparently."
"There's even popularity votin' for the food stalls and stuff, so everyone tries to get super creative. Especially for Clubs, word is there's a bonus to Club funds dependin' on how popular you are, so people go all out."
"Oh..." Saki voiced in admiration.
That said, Saki couldn't really picture what it would actually look like in detail.
But ever since movin' to the big city, even things Saki couldn't quite imagine felt excitin' to her.
Right then, listenin' to both Hayato and Haruki's convo, Himeko let out an "Oh!" as if realizin' somethin'.
"Wait, open to the public means we can go to you two's high school's Cultural Festival too, Big Bro?!"
"Of course, Hime-chan. It's totally normal for middle schoolers checkin' out the school to come by."
"Whoa, I'm goin', I'm goin', I'm so there! Oh, btw, what are you guys doin' for the Cultural Festival, Haru-chan?"
"Nothin' yet. We're still in the middle of discussin' it."
"Though over at Kaidō's class, looks like they're doin' a gimmicky attraction like a Crossdressin' Cabaret Club."
"Wait, what's that?!"
Himeko's eyes sparkled with curiosity.
Then Himeko started mutterin' and analyzin' with a dead-serious face, "I mean, Kazuki-san IS MOMO's little bro," "Kazuki-san's shoulders width could be hidden with a shawl or somethin'," "And bein' tall is actually a plus since it makes Kazuki-san's proportions look great, right?!"
Before long, Himeko stared intently at Hayato's face and uttered a single sentence in a strangely serious tone.
"Hey, Big Bro. Real quick—"
"Not happenin'!"
Sensin' the dangerous vibe comin' from Himeko, Hayato shut her down in a split second.
"I haven't even said anything yet! Big Bro, you cheapskate!"
"Because I already know for a fact it won't suit me!"
"You can't know that unless you try!"
"I already know without tryin', that's why I'm tellin' you I don't wanna!"
The Kirishima Siblings kept shoutin' back and forth like that.
Both Saki and Haruki exchanged glances, lettin' out soft smiles at what was honestly a heartwarmin' interaction.
But then a thought crossed Saki's mind.
Saki's bestie, Himeko, was a slender, strikin'ly cute girl who turned heads even in the big city.
And since Hayato was Himeko's biological Big Bro, his facial features and vibe were pretty similar. In fact, Saki could still vividly remember her heart skippin' a beat the few times she saw Hayato all dressed up and well-groomed since movin' to the city.
So when Saki tried imaginin' what it'd be like if Hayato dressed up as a girl—she realized her heart was suddenly poundin' like crazy.
What if Hayato turned into a girl and made a move on Saki...? Just imaginin' it made her whole body flush hot instantly, making her press both hands against her blushin' cheeks and squirm in frustration.

While Saki was drownin' in her perverted fantasies, Haruki suddenly muttered out loud in front of Saki, soundin' like she'd just reached enlightenment.
"...Hayato like that might actually work."
Hearin' those words, Saki's eyes snapped wide open. Leanin' forward, she grabbed Haruki's hands in heartfelt agreement.

"Not just Haruki, but you too, Saki-san?!"
Hayato's anguished cry of utter disbelief echoed across the Kirishima Family dinin' table.
